Description:
- Discuss the potential roles that AI could play as an assistant tutor, such as answering basic questions, adaptive practice/assessment, personalized feedback/recommendations, administrative support etc.
- Highlight the pedagogical opportunities of AI such as personalized learning pathways, simulation/visualization of complex concepts, and data-driven insights into student performance.
- Address the technical challenges around developing intelligent tutoring systems, including limitations of current AI, the need for comprehensive datasets, reliability and explainability.
