Description:

In this online Tech Group meeting Ahmed Samet will help us with: 

  • Defining what generative AI systems are (e.g. GPT-4) and how they work using large language models and prompting.
  • Explaining the role of carefully designed prompts in shaping the type and quality of output from generative AI.
  • Discussing best practices for prompt engineering –  like specifying intent, providing context and reducing ambiguity.
  • Comparing techniques – like closed vs open-ended prompting for different use cases.
  • Addressing the importance of iterative refinement and testing of prompts.
  • Considering application areas like QA answering, digital assistants, creative writing etc.

Ahmed Samet

Bio:
With a BA in English language from the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences of Sfax, Tunisia, and an M.Ed in Advanced Teaching Methodologies from the University of the People, California, CELTA qualified, and is currently working on a second MA in International Education Management at PH. Ludwigsburg from 2022, Ahmed has held prominent positions in the field of education, including as an Academic Manager, a Course Content Designer, and the Vice Head of the English Language Department in Turkey, Estonia, and Ukraine. His extensive experience and expertise in language teaching methodologies have made him a valuable asset in these roles, with a keen interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance educational experiences. He has actively explored and implemented AI-driven technologies to optimize teaching methods and improve learning outcomes. His proficiency in utilizing AI tools, such as intelligent tutoring systems and adaptive learning platforms, has allowed him to create dynamic and personalized learning environments for students.
