This is the the first in a series of blogs in which you can get to know more about the people who run ELTAS, i.e. the exec. We start off with our intrepid leader, Michelle Kremser, ELTAS chair.

What is your best memory of ELTAS?

Recording the music video for You Gotta Teach It, in 2019 . We had a blast recording the music, and making the video. Those were great days and we had lots of fun .(you can check out the video here)

What is something not many people know about you?

I put myself through university bartending in sports bars in the Wriglyville area, Chicago – Go Cubs Go! I studied full time, and I worked full time. I cannot remember how I did it, nor do I know how my liver survived!

What are you most looking forward to in Eltas in the next year?

Taking advantage of the summertime to meet up at workshops in person. I’m particularly looking forward to our workshop in July with Rachel Paling. We hope to be able to have a summer party directly after the workshop. Let’s hope we will be able to make it work!

I am also very much looking forward to getting the administrative end of ELTAS working smoothly, and more in sync with our members. It will be a challenge, but I hope our plans work out so that it becomes easier to coordinate, do the budgeting/financing more easily, and interact with members securely. These are the goals I hope to achieve while providing the interesting workshops we have lined up, plus a new one in October. It’s a lot to manage, but I think we have a good team and will be able to do this well.
