21C Skills Workshop with Tim Phillips

On Saturday, March 16, many of us had the pleasure to take part in the workshop on developing learner’s 21st century skills. Leading up to the event, we had done some informative posting to our growing exposure in social media on Facebook, LinkedIn and Xing. We’d mentioned the 4 Cs and what they mean to learning in today’s ever increasingly connected world and added links for participants and ELTAS members alike to be well informed going into the workshop.

So how did it turn out?

Fantastic! Tim Phillips began the workshop by asking questions regarding the 4 Cs and 21C skills in general. He then went on to have us all participate in an activity, “The Spaghetti Challenge,” to demonstrate exactly what is meant by using these skills in the language learning classroom and how to apply them at many language learning levels.

I think it’s safe to say that we all had a lot of fun while we enhanced our own learning and teaching practices, while also networking with new and long standing members of ELTAS.  We look forward to seeing you at our next workshop!
