With her background in graphic design and her experience as a teacher, Sherri really understands the challenges we face as teachers when thinking about the design of our brand and teaching materials.

Using real examples, Sherri shared with us design principles such as balance, white space, mood and the rule of thirds for images.  We were able then to critique some real marketing materials using these principles. After our break, we then looked tools freely available online and how to use them to create our own materials.  Finally, Sherri discussed the benefits of professional design versus DIY design and when it might be a better idea to get professional help.

An excellent workshop, with lots of discussion and tips from our ELTAS members. I’m sure we all went away with lots of ideas on how to improve our brand identity and teaching materials. Thank you Sherri!
