Once a year every ELTA in Germany sends delegates to the Inter ELTA meeting. On 11 March our colleagues from Ulm invited us to Biberach for our annual exchange of ideas, experience and best practice. This year Ingrid, our ELTAS treasurer, and I went.
Results in a nutshell: all sister organisations want to cooperate more. That’s why we will make better use of our yahoo group by uploading files which can be shared with all ELTA committees, using synergies more like a handbook on the duties and guidelines of a Verein and their board members. 
We all want more members, but how? Frankfurt regularly organises “bring a friend events” – that is something we could do, too! Apart from this we talked a lot about speakers – and how to add a bit of glamour here: there are stars in our business, too! I’m looking forward to our next ELTAS committee meeting to talk about implementing some of these great ideas.
