Focusing on the phonological level of language\, we will briefl y examine a speech production model and investigate language errors. Slips of the tongue and finding out\, how they come about\, give us a more accu rate understanding of language processing.\nThe implications drawn will he lp in many ways\, e.g. in language assessment\, language teaching\, and sp eech production in general. Both learner and teacher will profit\, as they will gain a more profound understanding of possible pronunciation difficu lties\, thus enabling each side to monitor and rectify phonological mistak es in an easy manner.\nFollowing the somewhat more theoretical first part of the workshop\, we will have a look at some fun exercises in the second part. We will try out several phonological tasks to make teaching and lear ning pronunciation more effective and enjoyable.\nThis workshop will be fo llowed at 5:30pm by an official tour of the Stadtbibliothek. Please indic ate on registration if you wish to take the tour\, there is a box to compl ete.  The tour will take approximately 90 minutes and finish at 7 pm and is limited to a maximum of 20.\nBio\nAndy Vogt-Nas has a background in psy cholinguistics.
