Still many stereotype s and lack of knowledge about the region as well as the culture and the re ligion make it very difficult for foreign companies to do business success fully there.\nHow do Arabs or Muslims tick and think? What is an Arab? Is an Arab necessarily a Muslim and is every Muslim automatically an Arab? Do es the Arab World exist? What is the difference between an Arab and a Musl im?\nThis workshop will deal with these issues. It will also explain the m ain important values\, attitudes\, gender role\, the importance of religio n and show some good and bad marketing campaigns. In a nutshell it will de monstrate how Arabs and Muslims tick\, communicate\, make decisions\, cope with conflicts\, do business and negotiate.\n \;\n \nTrainer profile RidhaMejri   \nRidha Mejri grew up in a bilingual and bicultural enviro nment namely Arabic and French. He lived\, studied and worked in several c ountries such as Great Britain\, France\, Tunisia\, Morocco\, Egypt\, UAE and KSA. Therefore he is very familiar with the customs\, behavior\, and b usiness etiquette of the Arab &\; Muslim World\, but also Germany where he has lived for more than 20 years. \nHe holds a master´s degree in App lied Linguistics from the Heidelberg University and is currently a lecture r for Business English and Intercultural Management at the Worms Universit y of Applied Sciences. He also lectures at the Heidelberg &\; Mannheim Universitiesof Applied Sciences as well as the Frankfurt School of Finance &\; Management.\nHe has worked as an in-company trainer and coach for many years. He offers tailor-made seminars and workshops to top executives who would like to improve their intercultural skills and management compe tence. \nHis main focus lies in the Arab &\; Muslim World as well as Ge rmany for non-German executives. He specializes in helping companies optim ize the success factors when working with Arab or Muslim business partners . He mediates the basics of successful negotiations in terms of developing negotiation competencies\, seizing opportunities and avoiding risks.
