SUMMARY:Inter ELTA Members' Day 2022
DESCRIPTION:We're  at it again!\nELTAS is happy to host the Inter-ELTA Mem
 bers' Day this year on October 22.\nThis event will be hybrid\, with a min
 imum of 3 speakers on site and those from other ELTAs projected in separat
 e rooms.\nOnline participants will be able to take part as they did for ou
 r last hybrid event on September 17\, but this time we're adding a new twi
 st!\n\nSchedule \n\n&nbsp\;\nBeatrix Price will be our plenary speaker wh
 o will discuss the professional development of successful teachers\, teach
 er trainers or leaders in their own organisations. Research shows that ini
 tially\, smaller professional communities of practice provide a safe envir
 onment for members\, such as Regional Branches (RBs)\, Special Interest Gr
 oups (SIGs) or Interest Sections (ISs)\, and local conferences have a sign
 ificant role for further development. Members of these communities\, origi
 nally being knowledge consumers\, gradually became knowledge providers and
  motivators for other ELT professionals\, take on volunteer positions\, ac
 quire various organisational and leadership skills\, and at the same time 
 continually grow personally and\nprofessionally.\nBeatrix works as a teach
 er and a teacher trainer at the Language Pedagogy Department at the School
  of English and American Studies\, ELTE\, Budapest. As a teacher trainer\,
  she gives talks\, workshops and courses\, in Hungary and other countries\
 , on Young Learner methodology\, using art in ELT\, extensive reading\, an
 d teacher development. Her interests include professional development\, ho
 listic education\, using art in foreign language teaching\, and profession
 al learning organisations. She is the former president of IATEFL-Hungary a
 nd her doctoral dissertation is on EFL teachers’ continuing professional
  development supported by teachers’ associations.\n\nFor more informatio
