DESCRIPTION:\nElevator Pitch: 2-Minute Business Presentation - followed by
  AGM\nJasmina Sazdovska\, PhD - Head of Department of Languages\, Internat
 ional Business School\, Budapest\nThe workshop aims to provide participan
 ts with the skills to teach students how to prepare for and perform elevat
 or pitches with a combination of online and course book materials. An add
 itional goal is to give free-lance teachers and trainers guidance on ho
 w to perfect their own elevator pitches when approaching possible clients.
  The workshop follows the usual three-stage teaching process of present
 ation\, practice and performance. \nPresentation\nThe first part of the w
 orkshop is intended to define the genre of elevator pitches\, to provide
  participants with both positive and negative examples of these presentat
 ions and to outline their basic structure\, based on the 5 Ps: Pain\, Pr
 emise\, People\, Proof\, Purpose. \nPractice\nThe practice section of th
 e workshop is based around an activity where participants are asked to id
 entify and put in order the 5 Ps from three different elevator pitches. \
 nPerformance\nIn the final part of the workshop participants will receive
  tips on how to prepare for performing elevator pitches. Finally\, the 
 workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to develop and p
 erform their own elevator pitches which they can use when approaching pr
 ospective clients. \n Short Bio: Jasmina Sazdovska is a college professo
 r and the Head of Department of Languages at the International Business Sc
 hool in Budapest where she teaches Business English\, Presentation Skills\
 , Meetings\, Negotiations and other business communication courses. Her do
 ctoral work is on business presentations and her research interests includ
 e genre\, pragmatics\, language teaching methodology and business communic
