  classroom \nBlended Learning is an approach to teaching that combines fac
 e to face instruction with technology-mediated components. It promises a l
 evel of personalization for students often impossible in traditional teach
 ing\, while expanding the opportunities for learning and helping teachers 
 chart progress and diagnose issues which may otherwise be overlooked.\nVar
 ious models exist combining classroom teaching with individual self-paced 
 activities and online collaborative tasks\, which emphasis the social elem
 ent of learning and the importance of communication. The model and tools c
 hosen will depend on your specific context and the right blend will enhanc
 e students’ learning experiences and help them achieve their learning go
 als.\nThis hands-on workshop looks at good practice in blended learning an
 d explores strategies and frameworks to get you started. We’ll try a num
 ber of tools that will help you create materials\, redesign your courses a
 nd find your own perfect blend.\nPlease bring an internet-enabled device.\
 nLaura Edwards is a teacher\, test author\, examiner trainer and digital m
 aterials developer\, whose who’s worked in Ireland\, the USA\, Spain and
  Germany. Currently completing an MA in Technology\, Education and Learnin
 g\, her teaching interests include task-based learning\, podcasting and di
 gital portfolios.
