Does this sound familiar to you? Student: “I’ve spent years studying English, but still can’t speak it”.

The workshop will give you ideas for developing the listening and speaking skills of your students. To communicate effectively in the global workplace, they need to interact successfully with coworkers, customers, suppliers, and others from different countries and cultures.

We will discuss the six stages of the listening process and look at what specifically makes speaking in a foreign language difficult. Examples of listening and speaking activities will be taken from “Simply Business” – the  new Cornelsen business English series.  We will also look at sources available on the Internet.
