Last Saturday we welcomed Karen Seekings from London to present the TDI concept from Pearson .TDI is an interactive online course to train and certify teachers to deliver effective instruction in English as a foreign language.We were invited to fulfill some practice tasks dealing for example with sub-skills of speaking such as fluency, listening comprehension, socially appropriate language, vocabulary, pronunciation and body language.
It was very interesting to learn about TDI and to work in pairs or groups to experience some inspiring methods of teaching.The summer heat being sudorific on Saturday, we were happy to be spoiled with wonderful cherries, grapes, biscuits, pretzels, drinks, etc.
